Opa

Opa is Greek restaurant and bar that specialises in meze, traditional Greek dishes and cocktails.

The restaurant is located in one of the underground cellars on North Parade, next to Parade Gardens and a 4 minute walk from Bath Abbey. The restaurant possesses such charm with scenic paintings of Greek landscapes and coastlines spread across the walls up to the ceiling. Add in some traditional Greek music and the natural warm lighting and you temporarily forget you are sat in a restaurant in England and not on a white sandy beach in Greece. There is also an alfresco terrace right on the river which is a great place to enjoy your meze or drinks on a hot day.

Opa offers a selection of traditional meze dishes including htapodi (octopus), gigantes, (baked Greek beans), bekry meze (pork stew) and pita with tzatziki and hummus. On top of the meze, Opa also offer a selection of Greek classics such as Sofrito, Moussaka and Tsipoura Bianco.

Opa is not just a restaurant but also a bar that offers a collection of great cocktails, Greek beers and wines. The bar is open until 2am so it makes a great destination for a slightly classier night out.

On top of this, Opa also hosts many events including cocktail masterclasses, hen parties, birthdays and weddings in their private dining and drinking rooms.

Everything from the food to the drink to the atmosphere is great and if you love Greece and Greek cuisine then it has got to be a place to try!
